Seasonal Sniffles

I swear that I am suffering the world's longest lasting bout of winter nastiness ever to have existed. I've had a constant cold since September - a sticky forever dripping nose and power sneezes that have earned me shares in Kleenex and Tena Lady. A few people (whilst stood at a safe distance) said that it was likely to be due to uni; because the students come from all over the country they bring with them strains of lurgy that your body has not yet been exposed/built a resistance to. I bought that for the first couple of weeks. But now, almost three months on I'm starting to doubt it! I've also had a really nasty cough for the last two weeks which is going nowhere, and to top it all I spent all day yesterday on the loo with a d&v bug. Nice. I know there's worse things in the world, but at the mo I'm feeling really drained and fed up with it all and wondering if I'll ever be well again!!
So I've got me some ecchinaecea (?sp!) in the hope that it will give me a much needed boost. I have heard a few different methods of taking it, for example taking it for one week in every four and also for two weeks at a time, so I'm a bit confused. If anyone can shed any light it would be mucho appreciated :)
Here's a little LO I did last week. These are an old pair of mum's reading glasses that Ellie likes to play with. I hated having to wear glasses as a kid as they just do not suit me at all, and as soon as I was old enough I bought myself lenses. For a few years now I've had those ones you can sleep in and only have to change once a month - it's amazing to wake up and be able to "see" as soon as I open my eyes and quite honestly I often forget I'm even wearing them. The miracles of modern science eh?!
