Howdy y'all!!

I really should be planning my lessons for next week but thought I deserved a break, and what better way to spend my time than eating banana on toast and dropping a quick blog update?!

Well, not only is my poor dear Landy finally being fixed as we speak (the part arrived on Monday!), but we made a total u-turn on the decision that we could get by with just one car between us, and went out and got another one. It's blooming lovely too, I'm trying to convince Lee that I should drive it and he can have the Landrover when it's all better! The Megane has got gadget's and gizmo's aplenty (isn't that a line in The Little Mermaid?!) and is just so darn clever, I love it!

I just nipped out in my pyjamas to take a couple of snaps for you, so if my neighbours didn't already think I was a bit barmy I just confirmed it for them. Well, pyjamas are essential kit for lesson planning don't you know?
I spent last Saturday scrapping with Gems again, I tell you what I think we are on a roll! I have made eight pages this month, more than I think I ever have before. So I have lots to upload and share - just wish I had more time really!

Here's a couple I've made over the last few weeks. The first one is of my cousin and I when he visited in February. Quite bright for me, don't you think?!
And this one is of my niece the first time she stayed here overnight on her own with me. I never imagined that the measly layer of chocolate on a digestive biccy would ever make such a mess! Cute though!! She ended us looking like a chocolate clown with it all smeared across her chops and on the tip of her nose! She cracks me up.

Ok, that's it for now, catch up soon with news of how my teaching prac is going! xxx

Just a flying visit.......

....cos I'm busy busy busy here cramming for exams. Naughty me leaving it until last minute. The two I had yesterday weren't so great, but I think this morning's went well. Three more tomorrow though and I've still got a lot of stuff to get through!

Anyway, just wanted to share this LO with you. Gems came over again last week for another day of messing about with paper and glooo, much fun and consuming of pastries was had by all!

It was inspired by the latest challenge over at the One Little Word blog. It's a page I've been wanting to scrap for a few weeks but when I saw the prompt of "Best" I knew the time to scrap it out was now lol!

I told you a couple of posts back that Lee had some great news at work that they want him to work towards managing the house. Well, he's started on his qualifications, but ever since the news sank in he's been in a state of self doubt and self belief. He doesn't think he's up to the job, despite his managers reassuring him that by the time he's completed his courses he'll be fine. Thing is, nobody has ever given him an opportunity like this before and I don't think he can quite believe that outsiders can have such faith in his abilities. He hated school and is used to being put down (by former employers and family) and so has a pretty crappy level of esteem when it comes to things like this.

I made a tiny "ticket to success" on it for 'im:
My car is finally in the process of being fixed - yay!! And they may be more motoring news on the horizon too. Bet you can't wait, lol!

Catch you soon xxx

Ooh.......

I'm having a lovely Easter break! I'm embarrassed to say this but I could get used to this lifestyle if only I didn't have to go back to uni! I've had lots of time to meet and catch up with friends over lunches, evening meals and a few bottles of wine!

My Aunt and Uncle came down from London last week - it was lovely to see them and their pooch. The poor dog was petrified of the wooden floor in both my mum's house (where they stayed the week) and here, so she had a hell of a week and was very glad to be returning to her carpeted home, bless her little paws!

The lovely Gems came over on Friday for some much needed scrapping and gossiping. She's been such a busy bunny creatively and it was lovely to see what she's been up to. I hadn't scrapped in ages, and managed to finish two pages. Yeah, get me!

This first one had got THE cutest pics on it! The story basically is that my niece is being a bit of a tinker at the mo, as toddlers generally are. My sis had been in her kitchen washing up and thought that Ellie was being a tad too quiet therefore had to be up to some sort of mischief in the lounge. To her surprise she found that she'd emptied half her toy box, climbed in with her blanky and made herself quite comfortable. Comfortable enough to be snoring! I just love her little feet poking over the side of the box!
The second one is just my sis and I gaffing about with the camera.
I must be on a roll now as I've done another page too but not got round to taking a pic, as well as a fourth layout, but I'm not convinced that it's finished just yet. Do you ever get that? It doesn't seem right and I'm not sure what to do with it, so it's sitting on my mantelpiece in the hope that inspiration will strike, via my chimney!

I had a night out on Saturday, so highlighted my hair that morning as it was well overdue for touching up (ooh er missus - you know what I mean!). I do it myself with those Loreal two-tone things, and it always works well and usually I'm happy with it. However, I don't know what happened this time but I am now sporting Banana-yellow locks. Nice, if you're a monkey and like that kind of thing.

Well, I'm waiting for Miss Ellie Belly to arrive as she's having her first overnight stay with me tonight without her mommy. Wish me luck! She's here all day tomorrow too so hopefully I'll have some fun with her and she won't wear me out too much!

And just for your information, I did get my teeth into Jamie Oliver's bun's in the end lol. They were yummy, although a little sharp for my taste so I think I'll try 'em with apricot jam rather than marmalade next time.

Catch ya later xxxx
